Dersin Amacı | The aim of the course is to equip students with basic communicative skills in English so that they can deal with daily situations like comparing two pieces of clothing, describing appearance and personality, discovering some attractions of a place, understanding short texts about favorite places, making some plans like travels, and respond to the written or oral situations about those and similar topics at the level of A2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). |

- Produce a series of simple phrases and sentences linked with simple connectors like “and”, “but” and “because”. - Convey simple, predictable information given in short, simple texts like signs and notices, posters and programs. - Express an idea and emotions very simply and ask others whether they understand them and what they think. - Make short descriptions of general things like favorite restaurants, places they live, favorite destinations, etc. - Engage in basic social interaction, expressing feelings, activities, needs and responding to comments with thanks, apology or answers to questions provided they can ask for repetition or reformulation from time to time. - Compare different things like prices, appearances, personal traits at a basic level. |
