[] About Program

The "Thesis Master" program, which is opened by the Graduate School of Health Sciences in our department, is open from 2007 onwards. 
In Anatomy Thesis Master's Program given by our Department; during the course of classical macroscopic anatomy, practice is provided with formalin and fresh frozen cadavers. And also; theoretical and practical work on microscopic anatomy and research techniques are provided. Theoretical and practical studies on basic stereological methods, in accordance with the interests of the student and the advice of the lecturer also provided.

To train teaching assistants who have the principle of constant learning in their field, transfer their current knowledge in the most effective way and have research skills.

Training individuals who have Master Degree of Anatomy, high degree of knowledge transfer qualifications and preferred by  the institutions that provide national and international health education.

Students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded an Master’s Degree in Anatomy.

It is a programme that provides graduate education at Second Cycle level.
[] Admission Requirements
It is essential for the candidates of graduate program:

•    To hold an undergraduate diploma.
•    To have a grade of at least 55 in ALES (Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Exam), 450 in GMAT, which is an internationally accredited exam or 610 in the “quantitative” part of GRE exam.
•    To meet the requirements determined by the head of department and to have  taken the language proficiency exam given by the Institute, unless the candidate has a certificate of KPDS/UDS or any other exam accredited by YOK (Turkish Higher Education Institution).
•    To be successful in the interview/ aptitude test.
•    To have a reference letter, a statement of purpose  showing thereas on for applying  for the graduate program and competence in written and oral Turkish and/or foreign language skills.
•    Exchange student applications are to be done in accordance with the admission requirements of the agreement signed between DuzceUniversity and the partner university.
•    Visiting students can take the courses approved by the head of the related department.
[] Course's Contrubution To Program
Students studying master's with thesis are required:
• To take 7 courses and enroll in the Seminar course and Master’s thesis, and complete 120 ECTS. To get at least a grade of CB in order to be successful in each course of the program,
• To have 3.00 general average grade out of 4.00 on the core subjects, and are to be successful in the Seminar course and Master’s thesis defense.

Students registered in a Master’s program without thesis:
• Are required to take 10 courses and enroll in the Graduation Project Course, and complete 120 ECTS. (The Graduation Project Course do not have local credit and are assessed with a pass or fail).
• Are required to get at least CB grade in order to be successful in a course in their program.
• Are required to have 3.00 general average grades out of 4.00 on the core subjects, and are to be successful in the Graduate Project course.
[] Recognition of Prior Learning
Students enrolled in DU might be exempted from certain courses within the framework of certain regulations. A student can be exempted from a certain course provided related course content previously received from another institution complies with that of DU, which is subject to approval and verification by the Board of faculty/graduate school/school.

Recognition of Education Abroad

DU recognises academic terms and courses studied by a student that has been involved in an exchange programme for one or two terms at the universities with which a partnership was established.

Students that are selected to avail themselves of Student Mobility for Studies under ERASMUS are obliged to draw up an education agreement with relevant ERASMUS Unit Coordination prior to the mobility term. The education agreement demonstrates the courses to be studied at the partner university the student intends to go, as well as appropriate ECTS credits.

In addition to this, students shall be asked to issue a Recognition Sheet, which refers to the equivalent of foreign courses in DU, so that the credit transfer is planned and approved.

At the end of the exchange term, the courses studied abroad are recorded and demonstrated in the transcript, together with the original course codes and names and ECTS credits. Pursuant to ERASMUS Programme and Collaboration Agreements concluded thereunto, official transcripts will quote, an abbreviation signal of ET, European Transfer, for the courses studied abroad.
[] Description of Program
The purpose of the program is to educate scientists who have gained the knowledge of all of the organs, systems and structures of the human body,settlement and duty as concept as a whole and skill to present the results of the researches that they have done in the academic environment. Students who graduate from the program are awarded the Graduate Diploma in the field of Anatomy. Upon completion of the program, our graduates with diploma may be employed as teaching assistants in theoretical and practical training activities in institutions providing anatomy training or they may be eligible to enter programs giving anatomy and doctoral education.

1 Being able know of the basic information of human anatomy and use of this information.
2 Having sufficient information about the anatomical and medical terminology and being able to use it.
3 Having basic information about systems and organs, and when necessary being able to transfer this information.
4 Being able to dissection cadaver. Being able to dissect systematically or topographically
5 Being able to review the literature, read scientific articles, evaluate and follow current information.
6 Being able to prepare scientific article related to the field, present it verbally and written.
7 Being able to have knowledge and skills professionally and understand the ethics rules of academical environment.
