The Health Management Master  Program with Thesis is a program that provides students with the necessary theoretical knowledge to produce macro and micro policies in the field of health and to enable them to evaluate existing policies from a professional point of view. Students who graduate from this program will gain expertise in health management.

Health Management Thesis Master's Program aims;
1. To provide the students with the necessary theoretical knowledge in the field of health management.
2. To help students comprehend the characteristics of the sector in which the health field differs from other areas,
3. To understand the importance of public health for national development,
4. To ensure that students are in search of quality while decreasing costs in health sector,
5. To provide the competence necessary for the students to determine the opportunities and threats by analyzing the existing environmental conditions and to take the positions accordingly.

The objectives of the Health Management Thesis Master Program;
1. To enable students to comprehend the process of scientific research method from a holistic perspective,
2. To give the students the ability to obtain data in the management process, to convert and interpret the data,
3. To provide students with leadership characteristics that can be successful in the field of health,
4. To be a graduate program recognized and respected by all stakeholders in the sector in the field of health management,
5. To provide the accreditation of the education given by domestic and foreign authorities.

Students who successfully complete the program will be eligible for Health Management Master's degree.

This program is a postgraduate program providing graduate level education.

Student Admission Requirements

Every individual who wants to increase his / her knowledge in Health Management

Managers at all levels of private sector enterprises (related to the health field),

There will be no preparatory class practice for applicants for this program.

Administrators at all levels of public institutions (mainly in health institutions) and graduates in all fields can apply to the program.

To have obtained at least 55 standard scores from any of the scores of Academic Personnel and Graduate Education Entrance Examination (ALES) conducted by the Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).

The scores obtained from the Foreign Language Placement Test (YDS) are taken into account in student preference. Students who have high scores are more likely to participate in the program

The above provisions shall be applied in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Regulations of the Graduate Education and Training Examination in Düzce.

Documents and photocopies are not accepted except the original or notarized documents of the required documents.

The program has 2 compulsory and 27 elective courses. Students are required to be successful in taking a total of 120 ECTS credits, including 25 ECTS compulsory, 35 ECTS elective courses and 60 ECTS thesis studies.

Students enrolled in DU might be exempted from certain courses within the framework of certain regulations. A student can be exempted from a certain course provided related course content previously received from another institution complies with that of DU, which is subject to approval and verification by the Board of faculty/graduate school/school.

Recognition of Education Abroad

DU recognises academic terms and courses studied by a student that has been involved in an exchange programme for one or two terms at the universities with which a partnership was established.

Students that are selected to avail themselves of Student Mobility for Studies under ERASMUS are obliged to draw up an education agreement with relevant ERASMUS Unit Coordination prior to the mobility term. The education agreement demonstrates the courses to be studied at the partner university the student intends to go, as well as appropriate ECTS credits.

In addition to this, students shall be asked to issue a Recognition Sheet, which refers to the equivalent of foreign courses in DU, so that the credit transfer is planned and approved.

At the end of the exchange term, the courses studied abroad are recorded and demonstrated in the transcript, together with the original course codes and names and ECTS credits. Pursuant to ERASMUS Programme and Collaboration Agreements concluded thereunto, official transcripts will quote, an abbreviation signal of ET, European Transfer, for the courses studied abroad.

Health Management Master's Degree Program, providing education under the umbrella of Duzce University Institute of Social Sciences, is an on-site health management in the graduate program where the lectures.

8	To have the ability of effective communication and team work.
9	To be aware of the social and ethical responsibilities of health management
10	Having professional terminology and foreign language knowledge related to the field of health management.
11	To be open to continuous improvement of professional knowledge and skills, innovation and lifelong learning.
12	To provide basic skills of health promotion programs and to make them widespread in society.
13	Developing patient complaints and patient satisfaction processes in the context of improving service quality

The graduates of the Health Management Thesis Master's Program can work in Health Research Centers, public, university foundation hospitals, private hospitals, rehabilitation centers, health insurance related units of SSI, private insurance companies, health research centers of pharmaceutical and medical devices.

Upon successful completion of this program, students can apply to the appropriate doctoral programs provided that they fulfill the requirements of the relevant institutions that open the doctoral program.

The program is coordinated by the Department Head, Department Head and ECTS Coordinator.
The courses are taught within the framework of the criteria and teaching methods determined by the instructor concerned.
Students take 2 semesters and 2 semesters prepare Master's Thesis.
Specialized Field course is taken together with the Master Thesis.
The student program which is completed and approved by the Institute is completed successfully.
