Architecture is defined as a profession which is qualified with professional-level training, experience and examinations to improve the quality and the efficiency of human life with enriching and raising the quality of the spaces in order to ensure health, safety and happiness of the user. Today, the building sector is rapidly changing with the development of computer technologies, globalization and concepts of sustainability. Depending on these global changes, the profession of architecture also requires new expertise.
In this context Master of Architecture Program located within the Graduate School of Science conducts program with thesis. This program aims to work interactively with other disciplines, to produce new knowledge and to specialize in selected areas. Program also promotes and encourages the development of individual, community and environmental sensitivity with critical and free thinking at all stages of education.
Master Degree is an important step for individuals who wish to maintain their professional development and academic career. As the profession of Architecture is an intersection of art, design and technical issues, student candidates should have desire to specialize in these areas and possession of professional vision throughout their lives.

Master of Architecture aims student’s to develop professional information both universal and mental extent and produce new knowledge with interdisciplinary interaction. The program also promotes students to associate this information with architecture production by aesthetic and ethical concerns and overseeing society and the environment.

The Graduate School of Science program have a full knowledge of the existing theoretical and substantive academic literature and as they are committed to lifelong learning they will have access to national and international periodical journals, have experience in architectural research methodology and report writing and have the motivation and opportunity to publish findings in accordance with academic principles and ethical values.
The Graduate School of Science Master’s program find employment in public sector and private companies on construction and design and also in such institutions and work places as Ministry of Environment and Urban, Universities, State Planning Office, Chambers of Architects, Research Institutions and Firms.
