Fundamentals of Nursing  master programme  was founded within Nursing Department in Duzce University Graduate Education Institute in 2014-2015 academic year. For this reason, the aim is to provide learning the basic concepts of nursing, nursing theories, research, statistics, clinical decision making and ethical issue; giving nursing care in accordance with nursing process, completing the scientific research project.

The aim of this course is to teach basic nursing concepts and principles, to develop knowledge and skills in nursing theories, research, statistics, clinical decision making and ethics, to provide care according to nursing process in accordance with ethical principles in nursing care, to plan and complete a scientific research project.

To provide the student with the ability to access, evaluate and interpret information through scientific research.

To have baccaluarate degree and appliying conditions of Duzce University Graduate Education Institute.

Students must complete compulsory and elective courses, disseration and speciality domain course. Courses are consisted of 60 ECTS in first year. Disseration and speciality domain corse in second year are consisted of 40 ECTS and 20 ECTS.  Courses and dissertation are evaluated to Duzce University Graduate Degree Education and Examination Rules.  

Students who are signed up directly or transferred can be exempted for courses which must be approved their contents by current schhol/faculty/institute board.

Fundamental of Nursing programme is embodied in Nursing Department as a graduate programme in which Duzce University Graduate Education Institute.Fundamentals of Nursing Programme, 

• have basic science quality for nursing education,
• give opportinity for diffirientating other health professions,
• create basis for all nursing courses.

From this perspective the current nursing programme has rich and broad issues.

First year was structured course and second year was structured preperation of dissertation.

9	Uses knowledge and skills specific to nursing principles in interprofessional studies.
10	Communicates verbally and in writing in at least one foreign language (European Language Portfolio General Level: B2 Level).
11	To use suitable principle and methods for professional skill teaching in nursing.

Graduates who successfully completed the Master's Degree are employed as a specialist nurse, health/disease consultant and manager, caregiver, education department in hospital or national and international institutions.

Fundamental of Nursing programme programme consists of 2 year(4 semester) is a graduate level . It is conducted by nursing and medicine faculties.  Compulsory courses' ECTS  load is 72 %, elective courses' ECTS load  is 28%.  If necessary, students should attain courses which are over load. It must be competed 120 ECTS for graduation. 

Duzce University Education and Examination Rules are used.

A student must have 60 ECTS credits (21 National Credits) which contain compulsory and elective courses. And also it can be completed dissertation. Courses and dissertation are evaluated to Duzce University Graduate Degree Education and Examination Rules.
